Obituary

Amanda Rae (Maberson) Fike, 38, of Butler, Indiana, died Sunday October 10, 2021, at her residence.

She was born May 11, 1983, in Kendallville to David Michael and Patricia Lynn (Holliday) Maberson. Her parents survive in Fort Wayne.

Amanda was a 2001 graduate of East Noble High School, where she lettered as a four-year athlete on the soccer team. She was a two-time captain of the soccer team and a standout on defense.

On March 17, 2006, in Avilla she married Shane Ray Fike.

She worked as a waitress at the Broadway Café in Butler.

Amanda enjoyed reading and watching the news. She dearly loved her children, as they were her life. She helped them to excel at school and was very proud of her son with his success in football.

Surviving are her husband, Shane Fike of Butler; a son, Ethan Michael Fike, at home; two daughters, Addison Lynn Fike, at home and Athena Lynn Fike, at home; a brother, Kristopher Michael (Dulce Karen) Maberson of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Casondra Brooks of Charlestown.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 15, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Bethel Christian Baptist Church, 2838 E US Highway 6, Kendallville with Pastor Zach McCue officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Pallbearers are Lane Reed, Eli Pilon, Alex Tyer, Todd Holliday, Darris Campbell, and Shawn Fike.

Visitation is Thursday, October 14, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the family.
