Obituary

Alva Jean Jordan, 73, of Kendallville died unexpectedly Friday, May 31, 2019, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was born May 27, 1946, in Four Mile, Kentucky, to Ethelbert and Lorine (Sulfridge) Sizemore.

On May 3, 1967, in LaGrange she married Charles F. Jordan. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1984.

Mrs. Jordan was a homemaker.

Jean enjoyed taking care of children, crocheting, sewing, baking, and cooking. Her main desire in life was to see that her family was happy.

Surviving are a son, Charles (Tammy Floyd) Jordan, Jr. of Kendallville; a daughter, Lisa Jordan of Kendallville; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan of Avilla, Corey (Crystal Inzer) Jordan of Kendallville, Ronnie (Leana) Miller of Wolcottville, Misty Rhodes, of Kendallville, and Shay (Russell) Owsley of LaGrange; 17 great-grandchildren including Christopher Jordan, Zakkary Jordan, Caden Owsley, Noah Owsley, Rebekah Owsley, Isabelle Owsley, and Remington Owsley; three sisters, Myrlee (Wilton) Gray of Rome City, Cheryl (Pat) Barrett of Leo, and Pauline Sizemore of Kendallville; and two brothers, Rodney (Karen) Sizemore of Fort Worth, Texas, and Robert Sizemore of South Milford.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sherry Jordan; and two brothers, Nevil Sizemore and Joseph Sizemore.

There will be no visitation or services.

Private burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
