Obituary

Alma (Skaggs) Randol, 70, of LaGrange died Friday, September 10, 2010, at 12:40 a.m., in Miller's Merry Manor, LaGrange.

Mrs. Randol was an inspector for Nisco. She enjoyed the outdoors, walking, and spending time with her family.

She was born March 8, 1940, in Garrett, Kentucky to Denver & Gracie (Perkins) Skaggs. She married Homer M. Randol, he preceded her in death January 13, 1992.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Griffin of Burr Oak, Michigan and Brenda Cranfill of Stroh; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two brothers, Minifee Skaggs of Gulf Port, Mississippi and Eugene Skaggs of Kendallville; three sisters, Edna Ritchie of Kendallville, Lilis Ritchie of Rome City, and Barb Carson of Garrett.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Danny Ray Randol in 1962; and three brothers, Marvin Skaggs, Junior Skaggs, and Willy Skaggs.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in New Freedom Baptist in LaGrange, with Pastor Wade Sturdivant officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Casketbearers will be Philip Griffin, Mike Griffin, Josh Randol, Nate Shields, Brian Van Winkle, Dean Skaggs.

Calling is Sunday, September 12, 2010 after 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.

Preferred memorials are to LaGrange County Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.

Arrangements are by Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel.
