Alma Conley, 83, of Rome City, Indiana, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the home of her son in Punta Gorda, Florida.

She was born February 8, 1940, in Quicksand, Kentucky, to Robert and Zelpha (Cole) Conley.

On June 8, 1957, in Stroh she married Clyde Conley, who preceded her in death on December 6, 2019.

Mrs. Conley was a homemaker but was so much more to those who knew her.

She was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church in Wolcottville and was lovingly supported by the Pastor and members of Community Church in Babcock Ranch, Florida, for the last two months while she was in Florida.

Alma enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, gardening, canning, baking, and cooking. She especially liked to prepare and serve meals for others.

Surviving are a daughter, Lora Farren of Kendallville; two sons, Douglas (Marilyn) Conley of Punta Gorda, Florida, and Jonathan (Kelly) Conley of Albion; four grandchildren Christopher Conley of Hawaii, Thomas Farren of Avilla, Andrea Farren of Kendallville, and Kelsie Conley of Albion; two sisters, Mary (Jim) Tuttle of Rome City, and Versie (Bobby) Pike of Kentucky; and two brothers, Larry Conley of Elkhart, Ray (Pam) Conley of Stroh.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Sawyer and Jewel Stafford; and three brothers, Denzil Conley, Jack Craft, and James Craft.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.

Graveside services will be Friday, November 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Orange Cemetery near Rome City with Dave Klinger officiating.
