Obituary

Alfred L. McDaniel, Jr., 73, of Wolcottville died Tuesday, April 13, 2010, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. McDaniel had been a truck driver for 46 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.

He enjoyed country music, and loved his family.

He was born June 2, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to Alfred L. McDaniel, Sr. and Ruth (Koella) McDaniel.

On December 20, 1969, in Fort Wayne, he married Ginger R. Hughes. She preceded him in death on March 14, 2002.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lois & Douglas Bullard of Fort Wayne, Katie & Ralph Miser of Fort Wayne, and Robin Ann Porter & companion, Brian Hoosier of Kendallville; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Alfred L. McDaniel, III of Fort Wayne, Steven C. McDaniel of Fort Wayne, Patrick G. McDaniel of Fort Wayne, and Lee Alan & Jennifer Kaluza of Rives Junction, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Patricia Ruth Reinier of Toledo, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred L. McDaniel, Sr.; his mother, Ruth Fenimore; a grandson, Kenneth John McDaniel; and a brother.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 16, 2010, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville, with Pastor Brent Wedding officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Calling is Thursday, April 15, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
