Obituary

Adrian (Abe) Leroy Thalls, age 92 of Pleasant Lake, Indiana, passed peacefully at home with his family at his side on Monday, September 6, 2021.

Abe was born to Raymond and Lavonn Thalls on August 9, 1929, in Hagerstown, Indiana.

He married Elizabeth (Betty) Mae Resler on June 13, 1948. Betty passed November 1, 1979. He then married Nancy Weller on November 22, 1980.

Abe was a teacher at Angola High school for 24 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the Pleasant Lake Lions Club for 58 years and received the W.P. Woods Fellowship award. Abe was also a Mason. He was an avid sportsman who loved fishing and playing golf.

Abe is survived by: wife, Nancy Thalls; two sons, Steve (Mindy) Thalls and Scott (Priscilla) Thalls; daughter, Suzie (Don) Rankin; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 5 step children, Stephen (Theresa) Weller, Deborah (James) Hashley, Gary (Lorraine) Weller, Ronald (Michele) Weller, Julie (George) Valverde; 11 step grandchildren; 7 step great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Thalls.

He was preceded in death by: wife, Betty Thalls; sister, Violet Ferrell; and 3 brothers, Russell Thalls, Glenn Thalls, and Raymond Thalls.

A private family service will be held at Pleasant Lake Cemetery.

A life celebration will be scheduled at a later time.
