Jo and family,

Both King and I are very sorry for your loss of your wonderful husband and father. Our prayers are with you. We are sorry we could not be with you for the visitation and funeral. Kathy Kitchen, Dick's daughter, let us know by e-mail but some of us older people do not read our e-mail as often as we should and I read it too late. Love, King and Shirley

Janey let us know about Al, but we were not home at the time. I know he has been sick for several years, and that it has been a long haul for the 2 of you, and your family too. Wish we could have been there to support you in person. We will certainly keep in touch. Kathy and Ray Paradowski

Jo and Family,

I was so saddened to hear of Al's passing, and even sadder that I wasn't able to make the visitation or funeral. I was having college finals, and it just wasn't possible. I sincerely apologize. Mother and Daddy always thought the world of both of you, and seeing Al at Daddy's visitation was so nice. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with all of you. I will always remember Al with extreme fondness, and I know that him and Daddy are up there remembering all of their good times at the store.

Alís passing brings me sadness. Iíve haven't been able to see him much these past few years, since I now live in New Hampshire, but I miss him already. His son Brian is a best friend of mine, Iím proud to say. Brian and he are a lot alike.

Alís passing brings many fond memories to mind. These include the many times he bailed us out of trouble. He helped prepare the foundation for many pleasant adventures for Brian and me, often with our other friends. Alís travels with his family were the seeds from which weíve harvested many a wild exploration. I wish I could be with you all in Wolcottville this day to wish him a fond farewell.

Alís passing also brings to mind his stoic patience, his razor sharp wit, and his sardonic humor. He often made me smile.

Al left his mark. He made us all a little better. I trust heíll be amply rewarded in the afterlife, where weíll see him next.

Bon voyage,
Bo

I am so sorry for your families loss and I so glad Alvin was able to make the Kitchen-Butler reunion this year. I am so sorry the reunion was shortened due to the rain and we were not able to visit as we have in the past.

God Bless,
