Gregory Wicker, 61, of Angola and formerly of Kendallville died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at 2:46 a.m. in the New Haven Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Haven.
He had lived in this area since 1967, coming from Kentucky.
He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
Greg had worked at Hymatic Manufacturing in Kendallville since 1985.
He was born June 21, 1951, in Lima, Ohio, to Luther and Shirley (Hunter) Wicker.
Surviving are two daughters, Karissa Lynn Sellers of Angola and Angel Wicker of Angola; two sons, Gregory Richard Wicker of Coldwater, Michigan, and Brandon Joseph Wicker of Kendallville; five grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Leona Sellers, Chase Pelz, Kaitlyn Wicker, and Kerstin Wicker; a sister, Barbara Mullins of Yorktown, Virginia, and a brother, Ishmel Wicker of Scottsville, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Wicker; his mother, Shirley (Hunter) Wicker Smith; a sister, Linda Wicker; and a brother, Jimmy Wicker.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 6 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Cremation will follow the service.
Honor guard services will be provided by Kendallville VFW Post 2749, Rome City American Legion Post 381, and active duty members of the U.S. Army.
Calling is Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.

I never meet Mr. Wicker but I have alway's heard alot of funny and nice thing's about him from my daughter.
