Pat and Kathy Young, owners of Young Family Funeral Homes in Kendallville and Wolcottville, are pleased to announce the addition of Tyler Troxell and Kayla Battishill to their staff.
Tyler is a licensed funeral director/embalmer. He was born and raised in Union City, Indiana. He graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2006. He had previously worked at a funeral home in Gas City, Indiana. Tyler enjoys movies, computers, sports, hunting, cars, and working out. Tyler's parents live in Union City, and he has two brothers.
Kayla is a funeral director intern. She was born and raised in Gas City, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2007 with an associates degree in arts and a minor in music and from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 2008, and will obtain her funeral director's license this fall. She had previously worked at a funeral home in Marion, Indiana. Kayla enjoys music, reading, movies, and spending time with family. Kayla's parents live in Gas City, and she has a brother.
Tyler and Kayla met in Gas City. They are engaged to be married in October. Tyler is currently living at Adams Lake, and Kayla is living in Columbia City until they are married.
